Natal plum or Carissa Marcrocarpa is in incredible drought-tolerant hedge plant for hot inland and coastal climates. Silky 4-petaled Jasmine scented flowers appear in spring with small red edible fruits to follow in summer. Needs fast-draining soil. Prune to desired form in late summer and/or earliest spring. 'Boxwood Beauty' to 3-4' high and 3-6' wide. 'Green Carpet' to 1-2' high and 3-4' wide. 'Tuttle' to 2-3' high and 3-4' wide
