Pineapple Guava Hedgerow

Pineapple Gauva / Feijoa or Acca sellowiana has beautiful glossy evergreen leaves with deeply olive toned undersides. It's picturesque spring flowers are edible. And so are the small plump juicy fruits that follow in fall. Their pineapple-strawberry like flavor is a popular ice cream ingredient in Australia. Slow-growing to start this plant gets to 8-10'+ plus with age. Prune heartily anytime after fruiting ends. Like all Australian plants, light chelated iron treatments are helpful for improving growth 2-4x a year.
