Spreading groundcovers are the most affordable lawn alternative out there. These large yet low-growing plants can quickly fill-in big areas and stand up to heat. From blue-green to gold & soft hues in between these plants thrive in settings were conventional lawn was once growing. As long as soil drainage and fertility is mitigated adequately with a light compost treatment and placement of gravel at the bottoms of planting holes (see exceptions below).

These mounding groundcovers can be planted in groupings for a clean contemporary look or mixed at random for something more wild. Rebate qualifying and best on drip irrigation. Pair with sages, succulents or trees.

Silver Plants spaced @ 3 feet. Sun & Shade Plants
