From nothin'-but-dirt to Gorgeous Garden in 1 week
These Los Altos homeowners were looking to fix their front yard fast. "I was just sort of aimlessly googling native plants and landscaping and came around to one of California Wild's designs and just kept clicking." From Patchy Grass to Curb Appeal Fantasy Landscape in L.A.
This home's front lawn had a big dead spot that just wouldn't go away. Between the full winter shade & the baking summer heat, the garden closest to the house was struggling. After some cosmetic improvements on the entry, the home owner was ready to improve the planting too. And cut out the unshaded part of lawn that just wasn't staying green. She was looking for something "soft and soothing without a lot of busy colors." And she wanted her low-water yard improvement to feel calm, cool and relaxed.
A sprinkle of white roses, a profusion of fragrant herbs and a swath of soft blooming grasses helped bring this garden makeover to life. The Tuscan Dream (or Soft Tuscan) plant package features a hefty blend of silver-leaved plants from both California and Mediterranean climates.
