Lavender Cotton (Santolina chamaecyparissus) is a beautiful, easy flowering small drought-tolerant hedge or ground cover plant for hot inland and coastal climates of California. In spring it's lemon yellow blossoms explode in a uniform mound while its elegant silvery foliage carries it through the rest of the year. Prune to ball shape in late winter or early spring or leave in natural form.
