Muhlenbergia grasses come in an array of varietals and subspecies. They are native to a broad ranges of North American grasslands and prairies. A generally large-blooming grass that goes dormant in the winter after fantastic shows (where sunlight & drainage is adequate) of fall plumage. Cutting back hard in winter is recommended for most varieties. Pink & White Cloud Muhly stay around 2' until going into bloom and require excellent drainage and full-part sun to thrive. Deer Grass is sun and shade tolerant and grows much larger (to 4'+).
