Coastal beauties with an adaptable nature, this California - Mexican native collection of blooming shrubs and ground cover turns out summer blooms and soft light green foliage. Plants can appear disappointing and stick-like at first than come in to maturity rapidly when their soil's right.

Directions & Care

Requires fast-draining soil, plant directly into a 4-6" layer of decomposed granite with light compost where necessary. Deadhead in summer to prolong blooms. Prune towards the end of plants short 3-4 month dormancy in winter. plants rebound quickly with the return of the sun.

Small (25 Plants): gold yarrow, rose autumn sage, purple coast daisy, sticky monkey flower, Indian mallow and ground cover geranium. 24 x 1 gallons, 1 x 5 gallon. Covers 75 Sq.ft. on 3' center planting. Monkey flower and geranium tolerate some shade ($0.44/sq.ft.). 

Medium (40 Plants): gold yarrow, rose autumn sage, purple coast daisy, sticky monkey flower, Indian mallow, ground cover geranium & Blue-eyed grass, Red Coast Buckwheat, 35 x 1 gallon, 4 x 5 gallon, 1 x 15 gallon tree (NorCal = Flannel Bush / SoCal = Palo Verde). Covers 150 Sq.ft. on 3.5' center planting ($0.17/sq.ft.).
