Water-Wise, Low-Mow Groundcover Lawn Alternative

Yarrow is a 1' high low-growing, drought-tolerant wildflower native to the West Coast. This pastel blossom mix is best spaced at 6-8" for full lawn cover. 

Low-Water Once Established

After a few weeks of routine watering, Yarrow can thrive on 1-2x week irrigation in summer, going through seasonal dormancy cycles in peak heat and winter.  

Easy Care and Soil Prep

• Soil Needs: Flexible soil needs. 
  

• Spacing: For fastest fill-in, space plugs 8" apart in warm months. Wider spacing (18–24") works well in larger areas with time and mulch support.
  

• Weed Control: Mulch with seed-free straw if spacing widely to retain moisture and reduce competition from grasses or weeds.

Keep plugs moist throughout the planting process. Plant as soon as possible (within 24 hours) after arrival). Store in dry shade if any delays. After preparing soil use a Japanese garden knife or other hand tool to create holes for interesting plant plugs. 

Mowing Optional
