DISCLAIMER: Any consumption of edible or medicinal plants is at user’s own risk. Allergies and sensitivities, even with regular foods, are extremely common. For example, some people are sensitive to oxalic acid and find beets cause stomach ache. Broccoli and cauliflower negatively impact the flatulence of some; particularly when overcooked or not fresh.
Expanding the dietary palette to include wild and new plant foods is important to California Wild Gardens and it’s affiliate. Because eating differently has the potential to boost global and environmental health in a big way.
Try the following precautions when trying any new plant:
Always start with very small amounts when consuming or otherwise using a new plant. Wait for 10-15 minutes and if no reaction occurs try a little more. The following day consider expanding your intake or usage.
