There's lots of plants that grow with little to no help from us. If we plant them in the right place, with the right soil, they can grow to last. Depending on where you live and what you choose some of these options will be more xeric and heat resilient than others. Good drainage is essential for low-water plants. So add gravel to the bottom of planting holes These gardens need love to get off the ground. But pretty much take care of themselves - outside of occasional watering & pruning - once they get on their way.
